Experienced shot stopper of Sekondi Hasaacas has commended Ghanaian coaches for the improved performances of home based players in the country.
The former Kumasi Asante Kotoko custodian heaped praises on the technical contribution of the locally based trainers for their role in the development of talents in the country.
Owu called on the local trainers to extend their helping hand to the lower tier leagues as they continue to churn out more talents.
The former Black Stars safest pair of hands acknowledged the tactical and technical understanding of the current crop of playerw as against the years gone by.
Owu swang the pendulum in favour of the current crop of players as against the past few seasons where players used to play at individual levels.
“The current crop of players are gaining seriously from the exploits of the current crop of players in the country. The courses undertaken by the various coaches have actually played a key role in the development of the players in the country.
The coaches are now endowed with technical training and it has been transferred to the home based players. I think it should go down to the various level as well”, Owu told sports crusader.
George Owu earned a name for himself as one of the safest pair of hands in the country after a stellar outings for Kumasi Asante Kotoko and the Black Stars.
