GFA Donates To UHAS As Part Of Its Sports Development Program

The Ghana Football Association(GFA) as part of its sports development program,donated sports equipment’s to the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS), Ho.


 


The presentation which was done by Dr Prince Pambo a Sports Physician and a member of the GFA Medical Committee included items such as footballs, bibs, cones, stopwatches etc and was received by the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Fred Binka, on behalf of  UHAS.


 


The objective of the presentation was to illuminate a future program of Sports and Exercise Medicine at the University.Furthermore the items presented will help promote physical and recreational activities among students, ensuring that they remain fit for the rigorous academic endeavors that they are undertaking and the prevention of physical inactivity related any form of diseases.


 


In his speech Dr Prince emphasized the need to foster and encourage physical activity among students as exercise is the best known preventive medicine.


 


The University which was founded in December 2011 is dedicated to issues of Health in the country. It is also a new  university that has   was established by an Act of Parliament (ACT 828) which located  in the Volta Region of Ghana.
