President of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi will leave Ghana to Switzerland, Zurich for the upcoming FIFA elections.
Ghana, one of the FIFA member nations, will be represented by the Ghana Football Association at the headquarters of the world football governing body for its elections on Friday.
Mr. Nyantakyi who will vote for in the elections will join at sister associations to choose a leader to replace Joseph Sepp Blatter who was banned from all football related issues for eight years by the FIFA Ethics Committee.
Nyantakyi will be accompanied by his vice president, George Afriyie to the event, which presidential hopeful, Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein of Jordan want postponed.
The Confederation of Africa Football, CAF, has asked member associations to give their mandate to president of the Asia Federation, Sheikh Salman Bin Ebrahim.
However, 26 member countries according to Musah Bility, president of the Liberia Football Federation, who was disqualified from the race for the top job in FIFA claim they will go contrary to CAF’s agreement.
