FIFA Has set the draw date for the Rio 2016 Olympics which will be conducted on Thursday, 14 April at 5: 30 GMT.
The football tournament runs from 3-20 August will see the U23 of various national team compete for Gold in Rio.
FIFA has announced that the draw will be held at the iconic Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, the same venue that will host the men’s and women’s finals on 19 and 20 August, respectively.
The 16 teams in the men’s tournament, will two see two African teams Nigeria and South Africa whilst the women team is represented by South Africa and Zimbabwe,the power houses such has Ghana, Cameroon, Ivory Coast all missed out on qualification.
Just one spot remains in the men’s tournament, with Colombia and USA playing off in March to complete the line-up of hosts Brazil, South Africa, Argentina, Denmark, Germany, Portugal, Sweden, Fiji, Honduras, Mexico, Algeria, Nigeria, Iraq, Japan and South Korea.
