With the upcoming qualifiers in Taekwondo which is to takes place in Morocco sees four very promising stars from Ghana who are looking forward to grab a ticket to the Rio Olympic games in 2016.
Ghana is represented by four athlete namely Danielle Pelham(58kg), David Adjetey(80Kg), Eunice Adedapo (49kg) and Terence Asare (58kg) flew to Morocco on Wednesday,3rd February 2016 to participate in the competition.
Adjetey – a 80kg athlete is undoubtedly one of the brightest spots in the upcoming qualifiers because of his high points build up in the sport.
After winning a silver medal in the All Africa Games (AAG), which was held in Congo and also after participating the Las Vegas Open Taekwondo in December, Adjetey looks very strong for possible qualification.
Danielle Pelham, a 57kilo athlete who also has a good points build up looks very bright in her quest to qualify for the Olympic games, as she won a bronze medal in the AAG in Congo last year.
In an interview with the General secretary of the Ghana Taekwondo Federation (GTF), Charles Amofa said “there is no doubt as to the talent we have sent to Morocco and i know for sure that, Ghana will be represented in the upcoming Olympic Games”.
