A member of Accra Hearts of Oak Strategic Committee member Alhaji Braimah Akanbi has sent his appreciative message to Japanese fans who thronged to the Accra sports stadium to support the club.
A Japanese contingent of about 100 travelled to the Accra sports stadium to render support to coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi and his team in the Club’s opening Ghana premier league match against New Edubiase.
And the Braimah Akanbi, says the club appreciates their support.
“We were all surprised to see a big number of the Japanese community in Ghana at the stadium on Sunday,” Akanbi told accraheartsofoak.com.
“In fact, we were pleasantly overwhelmed that a number of them came in full Hearts colours.
“This is a very good step by the Japanese community in Ghana, and I want to thank them on behalf of the club. We want them to always be at our home games and I can assure them that our doors will always be opened for them at all times.”
The former NCC Chairman also thanked all the fans who thronged to the stadium last week.
Akanbi said: “We are happy the fans came in their numbers. They can see something good is in the offing and I pray that we will all be able to meet our objectives this year.
“Every fan who made it to the stadium last Sunday deserves a big praise. We thank them all for coming and we want to see them, and even those who could not make it the last time, when we play our next home match.” he said.
