Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko striker Ahmed Toure has revealed he is yet to receive a plot of land promised him by a Kotoko fan, Mr. Christopher Mensah when he signed for the club last season.
Ahmed Toure was close to joining Accra Hearts of Oak, a side he represented in the GHALCA Top-4 competition last year, but Kotoko swiftly secured the signature of their former striker on 3-year- deal.
His return to the Porcupine Warriors was met with excitement as fans of the club promised him gifts ranging from car to lands.
Some of them fulfilled their promises, but Mr. Christopher Mensah is yet to satisfy his promise.
“Kotoko supporters really donated valuable items to me,” Ahmed Toure told Kumasi-based Metro FM.
“But For the plot of land, the man (Christopher Opoku Mensah) who promised me the plots of land has not yet handed the plots to me.” He added.
Despite leaving Kotoko, Ahmed Toure is still certain he will get the lands but he won’t pressure on Mr. Mensah to fulfill his promise because he told the world he will give him lands.
“I am alive maybe he will give it to me sometime to come. If he gives the plots of land to me, fine, I will take it but as I speak to you, I have not received the plots of land from him. Sometimes when I call him to ask of the land, he tells me people are working on the land.
“From the first day he promised to give me the land, that is what he tells me when I call him. I do not want to speak about it anymore. Its in the public that he has given me plots of land but I have not received any land from him.”
