John Boye Suffers Heavy Defeat On His Return From Injury

Black Stars defender John Boye suffered a heavy defeat on his return from injury in the Turkish Super League.

The 29 year old centre back lasted the full throttle of the game but was powerless to prevent Sivaspor from shipping four goals away to Osmanlispor.

The robust defender picked his seventh card of the season for the struggling Sivas as they slumped into further relegation muddy waters.

Manager Mustapha Resit Ackay reinstated his Ghanaian center back to the starting XI after his return from the treatment as they look to steal a point away from Osmanlispor away from the road.

Boye, 29, who sits second on his side’s scoring chart again got his name on the referee but for the wrong reasons with a 50 minute caution for the basement side.

Sivaspor eventually lost the game for the fourth time in a row, and has now won just two of the last 22 matches played.

John Boye has been one of the key players for the Super ligue side with four goals in 13 appearances for Mustapha Resit Ackay’s charges.

Sivaspors remains in the bottom three with 14 points from 20 league matches played.
