Accra Hearts of Oak coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi wants to help regain Hearts lost fans and prayed the Japanese contingent who trooped to the Accra sports stadium to witness Hearts take on New Edubiase to be ever-present to support the club.
About hundred (100) Japanese based in Ghana travelled to the Accra sports stadium to render support to coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi and his boys against New Edubiase in the opening day of the Ghana Premier League.
And the former Aspire Academy players development coach wants them to be an Integral part of the support base of the Phobians.
“They are as important as some of our new supporters we have gotten recently,” Kenichi said on the support the Japanese contingent showed him.
“I hope they will become like our long time Hearts supporters.” He adde.
Accra Hearts of Oak defeated New Edubiase courtesy of Yeboah’s 79th minute strike, but Kenichi is refusing to be carried away.
“There is a long way to go. It is very important for us to regain our traditional supporters as well as gaining new generation of supporters, which I hope to expand beyond Ghana and Africa into North America, Asia, Europe, Oceania, Central America, Caribbean, and South America.” he said.
