Tertiary Institutions To Clash At February AWO

Students of University of Ghana and those of Accra Polytechnic have, through their respective sports representatives, confirmed their participation in February’s Accra Works Out (AWO).

They are set to join other regular participants in the two-hour aerobic session on the multi-purpose court of the Accra Sports Stadium, the students’ reps told sportscrusader.com.

Even before the event, the two institutions have started bantering as each wants to claim full bragging rights as the most “fit”. A-Poly is calling out UG to prove their fitness in a “Push till u Drop” push-ups contest. UG won’t back down from a challenge and has “fully” accepted the contest in the quest for supremacy on Saturday.

The monthly aerobic session, powered by Primeval Media, comes off once every month, on the last Saturday and it brings together, people from the corporate world to work out in an atmosphere of fun.

Both schools will be participating in their first-ever AWO and will be aiming at making their presence felt.

The work out starts from 7am to 9am on the multi-purpose court of the Accra Sports Stadium.

Accra Works Out is free, but interested individuals and groups will have to call 0244 53 80 87 to register.
