The national table tennis team of Ghana are hopeful of leaving the shores of Ghana on the 11th February to participate in the African Olympic qualifiers and the Top 16 tournament that will take place on the 16-18 February in Khartoum Sudan.
The team which includes Felix Lartey, Derek Abrefi and Emmanuel Commey will be looking forward to make it to the Rio 2016 games after a long absence from the games at the Olympic level.
The table Tennis Team failed to make it to the London Olympics in 2012 because of various previous challenges that confronted the Ghana Table Tennis Association (GTTA) with regards to it operations.
Speaking to sportscrusader.com a member of the national team, Emmanuel Commey who is determined to make the shortlist for the Rio games said, “I know the task ahead is a very difficult one but I have one objective in life and that is to make it to the Olympic games at least for ones”.
