As part of Liberty Professionals’’ 20th Anniversary celebrations, the Ghanaian Premier League outfit are granting free entry into the Carle Reindorf park for their first home game of the 2015/16 season against International Allies.
Formed in January 1996, the Dansoman based side has gone on to become one of the giants in Ghanaian football circles.
Liberty have carved a niche for themselves as the best team in Ghana in terms of nurturing young talents having produced the likes of Michael Essien, John Painstil, Kwadwo Asamoah, and Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan who have all gone on to feature for Ghana at the World stage.
Their Production line was recently ranked among the top 20 football Academies on the Globe along with the likes of Barcelona, Arsenal and Fc Porto.
Speaking on Happy Fm, Media Relations Office of Liberty Professionals Mr. Godfred Akoto Boafo said, “Liberty was formed in 1996 so we are in our 20th Anniversary. And if you come to Dansoman Liberty is surrounded by a lot of Basic schools”
“There are about eight schools between the Dansoman Roundabout and Tunga [a suburb of the Dansoman community] and so our first Home match against Inter Allies on the 28th of February, we are going to open the gates for free to all the school children in the community” he added.
On how the Club will identify the Children from the Schools, Mr. Akoto revealed that, the management of Liberty Professionals are in talks with the authorities of the respective schools to get the arrangement done in a very organized manner.
Liberty will host Inter Allies in week-2 of the 2015/16 Ghana Premier League Season, a week after opening their campaign with an away trip to Bechem United.
