Celebrated attacker for Inter Allies, Ropapa Mensah has expressed his relief after surviving relegation at the end of the seasons .

The talented attacker for the Eleven is To One revealed having nightmares during their tight battle against the drop but is now relieved having stayed up at the end of the season.

The lanky centre forward commended the mental toughness of his playing colleagues for their successful campaign against the drop but was quick to credit the club’s fan based too.

Speaking on their campaign at the end of the season , Ropapa Mensah credited the entire Inter Allies set up for their league status but pledged to build on their strong end to the season.

“It has not been easy for us as club but we finally sailed through.

“We started on a different note but lost our focus along the line.

“I personally had sleepless night because of our position but our mental setup saw us through .

“ It has been a collective effort from every body related to Inter Allies and it is only good to acknowledge every single soul linked to the club” Ropapa Mensah briefed Sports Crusader.

The former Under 20 Stars played a crucial role for the Tema based topflight side as they maintained their premier league with a final day 1-1 score line in Dormaa.

Inter Allies avoided the drop just by one point having traded Herbert Addo for Jimmy Corblah at the dugout midway through the season.

Inter Allies’ celebrated forward, Ropapa Mensah, has expressed his excitement after ending his goal drought away to Hearts Of Oak.

The quick-footed attacker opened the scoring for the “Eleven is to One” in a thrilling 1-1 drawn game in the capital derby to keep alive their survival hopes.

The Tema-based attacker displayed a ruthless start to the season that saw him pick the club’s  player of the opening half of the season but has since fluffed his line.

The lanky striker admitted to his indifferent form in the second round but pledged to fight till the final match day of the season.

“It has been frustrating for me as a striker, but as a footballer, you have to keep fighting hard on daily basis.

“I have the self belief that I can still find the back of the net on consistent basis and I only hope my goal at Hearts Of Oak opens the floodgates.

Relegation threatened Bechem United will welcome fellow strugglers Inter Allies to the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park in a Ghana Premier League (GPL) Match-Day 24 encounter.

They will be hoping to get their campaign back on track after poor results has seen them falling into the relegation zone within the last couple of weeks.

Wa All Stars returns to domestic league action at the Tema Park after their extended rest over the weekend.

The second-placed visitors head to the Tema Park in search of their  first win against an Inter Allies side managed by their former trainer,  Jimmy James Cobblah.

The Wa-based title contenders have their eyes set on a return to the summit of the log having enjoyed a buffer weekend due to  Medeama’s involvement in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Inter Allies center-forward, Ropapa Mensah, wants his side to finish the remaining home fixtures unbeaten after a turbulent start to the season.

The skillful forward urges his colleagues to make the Tema Park a waterloo for visiting teams if they are to avoid any late battle for survival.

The Tema-based team have been inconsistent at the very least with surprise results on weekly basis, despite the presence of several star players in their books.

Ropapa Mensah, a key figure for the “Eleven is to One”, however called for ruthlessness at their own backyard so as to stay far off the drop.

“We just to finish the remaining home matches unbeaten if we are to avoid any late fight in the league. Our home grounds must be resolute in term of wins and dominance, else we will have to build on our form away from home. Black Satellites attacker, Evans Mensah, has called on local media outlets to provide massive support for the team ahead of their return leg at home to Senegal.

The national Under-20 side lost the first leg of the continental youth Championship by 3-1 in Dakar, but their talismanic forward, confident as he is of qualification, is rallying support from any source possible, ahead of the encounter.

The Inter Allies attacking sensation, urged the Ghanaian football family to troop to the stadium to provide that morale booster needed to overturn the deficit.

“It is not the kind of results we want to start the second leg with, but we have to accept the challenge  and live with it.

GPL Report: Inter Allies And Kotoko Share Honours

Inter Allies and Asante Kotoko shared spoils when they met at the Tema sports stadium on match week 18 of the 2015-16 Ghana Premier League (GPL).

Bennett Ofori pounced on a howler from Osei Kwame to open the scoring for Asante Kotoko less than quarter an hour into the game, but Frederick Yamoah’s sumptuous strike from 25 yards six minutes into the department drew parity for the Eleven Is To One, and that was that.

Both teams had contrasting results in the previous games prior to this fixture; Inter Allies lost at the Golden City to Berekum Chelsea whilst Asante Kotoko piped league leaders Wa All Stars at the Baba Yara sports stadium.

With the former losing away from home on week 17, they began on the front foot to redeem themselves, not only for the previous, but the reverse fixture which ended in favour of the Porcupine Warriors.

Early chances were created by returnee Frederick Yamoah and Abdul Halik Hudu, but Frederick Boateng and Sheriff Deo Mohammed attempts at the end of the opportunities were harmless. However, when got their grips on the ball and attacked from the right flank with Amos Frimpong, he found Frank Sarfo Gyamfi, who powered in a ferocious shot.

Baba Mensah Flourishes For BK Hacken.

Ghana youth international defender Baba Mensah flourished at the back for his Swedish side BK Hacken in a heavy win over Hammarby.

The gargling center back capitalized on his rare start for his ambitious side with classy display to earn all three points for Hacken in a 4-2 thriller.

Contrasting results in the previous matches, contrasting positions on the league log, and contrasting performance of late.

Redemption and repeat on the minds of both teams as they clash tomorrow.

The Porcupine Warriors are on the ascendency since Michael Osei took charge of technical duties in April, and the only blot he has on his Kotoko CV is a defeat to New Edubiase at the Baba Yara sports stadium.

Cobblah Decry Players Inexperience

Jimmy Cobblah has decried Inter Allies’ lack of experience when it matters most for the team to grind results.

The Eleven Is To One suffered their seventh defeat of the 2015-16 Ghana Premier League (GPL) when they met Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park on Wednesday.

Two goal from Saddick Adams (penalty) and Tei Nii Horsu were enough to leave Jimmy Cobblah with headache after the game.

“In the first half we were on top of our game, but in the second half they came in strongly and our problem was our goalkeeper,” the former Wa All Stars coach said in his post match press conference.

He explained that: “This (Salifu Saed) is a new goalkeeper who has never tasted a premier league match before. He just from a second division side and it was obvious that he was lacking experience.

“I think inexperience let us down because we played very well but we are having many of our players on our injury list so I think despite losing, I am very proud of the players because some are new players and some of them have not played all season.”

“So I think they really did well but the way forward for us is to take every match seriously.” he stated.

Ropapa Mensah Wins Allies Fans Player Of GPL 1st Round

Striker Ropapa Mensah has been named by Inter Allies fans as their Player of the First Round after an online poll.

He fended off competition from Emmanuel Nettey and Gockel Ahortor in the poll conducted on the club’s social media outlets which recorded a total of 2,500 votes.

The 18-year-old pulled 42%, leaving Nettey with 30% and Ahortor with 28% of the votes casted after the poll was organized on the club’s official social media outlets.

Votes were accumulated from our Twitter (@InterAlliesFC), Instagram (@interallies_fc) and Facebook (Inter Allies FC) accounts where fans were allow to vote for their Player of the first round.

Kwame Osei, Ropapa Mensah, Gockel Ahortor and Emmanuel Nettey emerged top for the penultimate poll, Osei then got dropped as Ropapa, Nettey and Ahortor stood for the final.

Mensah’s performances saw him feature in 13 matches out of 15 matches with two goals and being named the club’s player of the month for February.

We Will Fight To Maintain Our Premiership Status - Inter Allies

Coach of Inter Allies Football Club, Jimmy Corbblah has said his relegation threatened side will fight to maintain their top-flight status at the the end of the season.

Allies are 13th on the Ghana Premier League (GPL) log at the half way point of the season, and, have been flirting with relegation all season.

However, Coach Corbblah said they hope to change their status in the second round of the competition and believes he has the materials to do that.

“I know the job at hand is a difficult one, but, I trust in the boys to deliver, and, we will keep working hard to improve on our situation during the second round of the season,” he said.

“The boys have been working hard in training awaiting the start of the second round, and, I am confident that they will rise to the challenge when the campaign resumes,” he added.

The Tema based club recorded 15 points from from 15 games at the end of the first round of the league, and, are just one point away from the drop zone.

They will play Sekondi Hasaacas at the Tema Park when the second round of the season begins on the weekend of 25/26 June.

Inter Allies Trainer Relieved To Have Moved Out Of The Drop Zone

Head coach of Inter Allies Jimmy James Corbblah has heaved a sigh of relieve after finishing the first round outside the drop zone.

The former Wa All trainer steered the Eleven is to one away the relegation zone having joined the club in the last three matches to the end of the first round.

The Inter Allies tactician cited the youthful nature of his side and the talents on board as enough reasons to sustain their premier league status amid torrid start to the season.

The Tema based top flight campaigners parted ways with ace trainer Herbert Addo after a turbulent start to the campaign that saw them stuck in the red colour zone.

The youthfully inclined trainer predicted a stronger second round for the Eleven is to one of if they can gel as a unit.

“Inter Allies does not deserve to be in the relegation zone. I believe we will even get better when the second round starts because of the young talents we have.

All my players needed is a strong mentality and I am sure by the start of round two.

I am relieved now because we can play without now play without pressure”, Jimmy told sports crusader.

Ghana Premier League (GPL) side, Inter Allies has broken camp after the second round of the season came to last week.

The ‘Eleven Is To One’ has will resume preparations for the second round of league matches on Thursday, 9th June, 2016.

Coach Jimmy Corbblah and his technical team with the consultation with management decided to give the players some rest.

The 2015/16 Ghana Premier League went on break after the first round of matches and will resume with match day 16 games on the 26th June 2016.

Inter Allies lie 13th on the league log with 15 points at the first round of the league.

Hasaacas And Allies Share Spoils

Sekondi Hasaacas and Inter Allies played out a 1-1 draw in the final matches of the first round of the Ghana Premier League (GPL) on Sunday at the Sekondi stadium. 

The match which started with an open and equal share of chances for both sides, ended in a rather scrappy and controversial manner as Hasaacas angrily protested of bad officiating from referee Isaac Quaye.

The incident that happened in the latter minutes of the game to post match, had to take maximum alertness from the police to salvage any bad event, as players and fans made attempts to have an encounter with the match officials.

Ibrahim Suleman scored for Hasaacas in the 15th minute with a header, which connected a corner kick from Roland Amouzou. It was a good way to take lead as both sides had failed in open plays to get any goals.

Hasaacas went in search of a second but the visitors defended two other corner kicks very well. Magnus Ebo Duncan had a penalty appeal denied when he relentlessly chased a headed on ball from strike partner Samuel Afful. Duncan managed to get a touch past goalkeeper Kwame Osei, who seemed to have impeded Duncan but referee did not give the penalty.

On two other occasions, a lack of understanding and poor final passing also denied Hasaacas the chance to increase their lead. New head coach of Inter Allies, Jimmy Cobblah was unimpressed and so sounded strong warning to his lads.

With even share of possession, the Tema based visitors had a free kick chance from 22 meters when Albert Gaisie was adjudged to have impeded Sherif Deo.

Midfielder Gockel Ahotor from that set piece scored the equalizer with a powerful low ground shot in the 36th minute.

Two goals from dead ball situations showed a good twist to the game which had seen a lot of ball work. The home side reorganized in attempts to restore their lead.

In the 39th minute, Roland Amouzou had a tricky volley well saved by goalie Osei with a good jump and a timely tip. The ensuing corner kick nearly gave Hasmal the lead but Ebo Duncan headed narrowly over the bar after Amos Korankye had earlier connected with a header at the far post into the 8 yard box.

Inter Allies also had a great opportunity to take the lead but for the unfortunate block from Sherif Deo, whose poor reading of the situation stopped a goal-bound finish from Simon Martey.

Fredrick Boateng had cut in a ball from the right edge of the box which beat the Hasaacas defense line and as Martey touched the ball at the back post, Deo somehow came on the scene to deny his right back a goal.

The second half was much of ball playing with limited chances and even incursions. Afful had a header go wide, just as Ebo Duncan whose connection to a pass from Afful went wide. Close range incursions not getting a good finishing.

Inter Allies escaped a goal mouth melee in the 63rd minute before also scaring their host in the 75th minute, as Prince Baffour had his shot punched by goalie Michael Abu, who followed the ball to save the rebound.

Prince Baffour again tested Abu in the 78th minute with a good drive which troubled the goalkeeper, as Abu spilled the ball for Frederick Boateng to put wide his finish after Abu had indecisively stayed watching the ball when he could have followed the spilled ball to grab.

Seven minutes was added on but it yielded no winning goal, rather verbal exchanges and show of perplexity as substitute Eric Adu Poku got sent off in the heat of protestation from Hasaacas about the referee’s performance.

Thanks to a maximum security force and cooperation from Hasaacas management members, the match officials were sneaked out of the Sekondi stadium in safety.

GPL Report: Allies Down Chelsea

Haven gone six games without a win, Inter Allies defeated Berekum Chelsea 3-1 at the Tema sports stadium on the penultimate game of the first round of the 2015-16 Ghana Premier League (GPL).

Three first half goals from Edward Adjaklo and Frederick Boateng were enough for the Eleven Is To One to secure all points at stake, though Sadick Adams got a consolation for Solomon Odwo’s me late into the game.

Inter Allies dictated the early changes, but were too blunt upfront as Frederick Boateng, Sheriff Deo Mohammed and Edward Adjaklo all fluffed glorious to earn the team the early impetus required to open the gates for a way into ending consistent poor results.

It took Jimmy Cobblah’s men 10 minutes to find the breakthrough when they could have been up by a minimum of three.

Edward Adjaklo outstep finish from Simon Martey’s short corner stucked Chelsea, and Allies swamped around them and deservedly scored the second from 12-yards through Frederick Boateng after Abdul Halik Hudu was brought down in the box.

Chelsea responded swiftly, but were immediately knocked back into their shelves by Boateng’s second which could be a goal of season contender.

Simon Martey’s corner was nodded on to his path, and his volley had everyone standing on their feet. The ball caught the brilliant Ahenkorah standing aloof as the ball danced into the net.

The second department was more Chelsea who were looking to crawl their way back into the game, but the harm was already done.

They uped their performance but barely created any meaningful chances capable if hurting the opponent.

Their hard work paid off with three minutes to play when Sadick Adams buried the ball beyond Osei Kwame after Prince Gyamfi was fouled in the box.

The goal was the energizer Chelsea needed but it was too late to fight their way back to earn a point.

Inter Allies Blame Officiating For Kotoko Defeat

Inter Allies head coach, Jimmy Cobblah has blamed poor officiating for his sides slim 1-0 defeat to Kumasi Asante Kotoko in their Ghana Premier League (GPL) Match-day 13 encounter in Kumasi last Sunday.

Amos Frimpong scored from the spot in the 60th minute to give Kotoko a deserved 1-0 home win over Inter Allies after substitute striker, Elvis Amoh was brought down in the box after 58 minutes.

Allies are struggling to replicate their early season form as the defeat meant they have won none of their last six games.

And Cobblah who joined recently was looking forward to a better start to life with the Tema based side.

The former Wa All Stars coach in his post match presser told the media that officiating on the day was not at it’s best.

He said, “It was unfortunate we lost as there were some instances in the game one can’t speak on because this was no foul to warrant a send off and be penalized with a penalty”.

“However, it is the discretion of the referee and I don’t want to talk about that, but, at times our referees use their discretion selfishly and that is my problem,” he added.

Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko versatile midfielder, Prince Baffoe has expressed disappointment at Inter Allies defeat to Kotoko upon his return to his former employees.

Baffoe joined the Tema based Premier League side on a free transfer after spending four years with Asante Kotoko where he won three league trophies and one MTN FA Cup.

In the post match interview with the media the former Ghana U20 midfielder said, “I must concede I am very disappointed with the defeat upon my return to Kumasi.”

He added, “I came here with Inter Allies aiming at nothing than a win or badly a draw but the team’s performance was unparalleled as we played much of the game with just 10-men.”

Kumasi Asante Kotoko closed the gap to the summit of the 2015-16 Ghana Premier League (GPL) to two points after beating Inter Allies on Sunday.

Skipper Amos Frimpong scored the only goal of the game from the Penalty spot after substitute Elvis Amoh was fouled in the box by Abass Mohammed.

With ten men, Allies dominated but were unable to equalise, and ended up losing their third game in six matches.

Gyamfi Calls For Support

Asante Kotoko winger Frank Sarfo Gyamfi has called for support from the club’s fans in their league match at home to Inter Allies.

The speedster is urging massive support from the fans in their bid to keep their stay in the top four and possibly rise up on the log as they welcome Inter Allies to the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.

The Porcupines have had a good run of results in their last five games but are yet to better their home record which has not been very impressive. The player speaking to the media after the team’s Friday training session called for the fans to troop to the stadium in their numbers and cheer them to victory.

“It was a difficult game against Bechem United who had not lost at home in their recent matches but grabbing the maximum three points was important for us much more than the goal I scored.

“We approach games one after the other. Our focus is on Inter Allies as the Bechem hurdle has been jumped. The supporters must come and throw all their weight behind us with their support on Sunday just as they do in every match,” Sarfo Gyamfi said.

The former Wa All Stars player told that the absence of Dauda Mohammed who is with the Black Satelittes in Ethiopia will not be a problem for the team as other players are equally good to play in any game should they be selected.

“In the absence of a player, there are players available and ready to deliver for the team. Everyone registered is capable of playing because of the team work and unity that dwells in the team for our successes.”

Sarfo Gyamfi finally called on all the supporters to be present at the stadium on Sunday to support the team and motivate them to be victorious.

“The fans must come and fill the stadium with their support now that we have found our rhythm with continuous wins at Storm and Bechem. We can’t play in an empty stadium. We the players will not be inspired when there is no support. They should come support the team to secure the win,” Sarfo retorted.

The winger who struggled earlier in the season nursing injuries is expected to start the game on Sunday as Kotoko host Inter Allies on match day 13 of the ongoing 2015/16 Ghana Premier League.
