Emmanuel Boateng debut goal for Moreirense secures top spot in Cup Match

Portugal based Ghanaian striker Emmanuel Boateng registered his debut goal for Moreirense in a vital away win in the Taca De Portugal.


The 19 year old capped an impressive night for his Portuguese side with a debut goal to match as Moreirense surged to the top of the League Cup in Group B.


Boateng restored the lead for Moreirense in a well deserved 2-4 away win at Oriental Lisboa.


The Ex Rio Aves forward showed his predatory instincts to put Moreirense back into a 45th minute lead after Sousa’s opening strike was cancelled out by Tavares for the home side.


Boateng continued his impressive night with another solo run that led to the first of two more strikes Russel Martin in an inspired second half romping.


Fernando Santos pulled one back for Oriental on the stroke of full time in the six goal thriller. Boateng impressed heavily for Rio Aves to earn a move to Moreirense where he has since managed 11 appearances in the 2015/16 season.


Compatriot Ernest Ohemeng lasted 82 minutes for the visitors as well before making way for Iuri Medeiros. Ohemeng has since managed 8 appesrances in the first team so far as he eases his way back into starting berth.
