Member of Parliament for the Asokwa Constituency Patricia Appiagyei has charged the youth of her area to take full advantage of the newly built training pitch at Ahinsan to become the next Kwadwo Asamoah.
The MP commissioned the new training facility as part of her program of developing sporting facilities in the area to harness talents and also create employment.
Juventus star Kwadwo Asamoah is the most notable talents to have hailed from the area.
And the MP in commissioning the training facility on Wednesday urged the youth to emulate the exemplary rise to become as great as the two-time Serie-A winner.
“Football can offer the youth in the community a lot of jobs and the feat attained by Kwadwo Asamoah is an example of how far football can take a person to,” she said.
Kwadwo Asamoah’s talent was spotted by one Ahmed Kamarat who owns a juvenile club, Asokwa Deportivo.
He was before then just a street boy who plays football for fun but is now one of the well-known Ghanaian players abroad plying his trade with Italian giants Juventus.
