Medeama register 27 players for CAF Confederation Cup campaign

Medeama SC did not exhaust its total allotment for the registration of players for their CAF Confederation Cup campaign.


The Yellow and Mauves have registered 27 players for Africa’s second tier club competition.


This leaves the Tarkwa based club three more places for future registration with the hint of striker Nathaniel Asamoah returning to the side.


Clubs competing in Africa are given the option to register up to 30 players.


It is however the discretion of the clubs to either exhaust the total allocation or reserve some for future use.


Medeama have qualified to represent Ghana once more again in the CAF Confederation Cup following their success in the MTN FA Cup competition.


The club played for the first time in Africa two-years ago when they coincidentally won the same domestic competition.


The registered players in the Medeama squad for Africa includes in the likes of Kwame Boahen, Kwesi Donsu, Conney Idan, Malik Akowuah and Jospeh Gordon.


Medeama squad for Africa:


Goalkeepers: Yaw Ansah, Michael Sai and Muntari Tagoe


Defenders: Daniel Amoah, Moses Amponsah Sarpong, Samuel Adade, Ishmael Hammond, Francis Addo, Patrick Opoku and Paul Addo


Midfielders: Kofi Aidoo, Emmanuel Agyemang, Kwesi Donsu, Michael Ohene Agyei Asamoah, Conney Idan, Kwame Boahen, Joseph Gordon, Eric Kwakwa, Malik Akowuah, Victor Ayire, Samuel Bio and Dominic Eshun


Strikers: Benjamin Bature, Enoch Atta Agyei, Philip Asewah and Bismark Oppong
