Exclusive: Charles Folley terminates contract with Etihaad El Zarqah

Ghanaian striker Charles Folley has mutually terminated his contract with Etihaad El Zarqah after a disastrous campaign in the Jordanian second tier league.


The nomadic forward parted ways with his relegated side at the end of the season despited featuring prominently for the struggling side.


Etihaad El Zarqah endured a torrid end to the season culminating in a well deserved relegation amidst financial meltdown.


The ex Fair Point striker registered 3 goals in his 8 leagye appearances for the relegated side.


The much travelled Ghanaian announced himself to the domestic rivals with his attacking impetus across the season.


The much sort after striker was sent off for El Zarqah at home to Aqaba in a Ghanaian derby on Jordanian soil and missed the last two fixtures as the season collapsed at the vital stage.


“I have finally terminated my deal with Etihaad El Zarqah at the end of the season.


“We have agreed to go our ways at the end of the season in Jordan.” Folley told www.sportscrusader.com


The Ghanaian could however return to the gulf region with a number of clubs in a mad rush for his services ahead of the 2016 domestic season.


Compatriot Ben Acheampong missed out on promotion in similar manner for Aqaba despite his eight impressive strikes in the division one league.
