EXCLUSIVE: Wilfred Osei elevated to Black Stars management committee as Vice Chairman

Wilfred Osei has been appointed Vice Chairman of the Black Stars management Committee, Sportscrusader.com can exclusively reveal.

The Tema Youth chief was informed he will be the substantive replacement for Kudjoe Fianoo who vacates the position following his defeat in the GFA Executive Committee elections.

This decision was communicated to members of the Ex.Co at their final meeting of the year on Wednesday.

George Afriyie remains the chairman of the management committee of the senior male national team and will now be directly assisted by Wilfred Osei.

Five other members are to join to complete the management committee.

Wilfred Osei gets the elevation into the Black Stars despite his failure to lead the Ghana U20 side to win a medal at the 2015 World Cup in New Zealand.

He before that was chairman of the management committee of the Ghana U17 team, the Black Starlets.

Osei was one of the members of the previous Executive Committee to have retained his seat in the heated elections for the 22-seats on the current board of the Ghana FA.
