Alexandre Pato Set For Chelsea Debut

Brazilian striker Alexandre Pato could finally make his Chelsea debut, with Guus Hiddink admitting there is little left to play for this season.

Pato was brought in on loan in January, but has not played a minute for the west London club since arriving.

But, with their title defence already over, and their cup runs all having come to an end, and even a chance of Champions League qualification having disappeared, Hiddink admits he might be able to find room for the forward.

“Will he be actively involved? We will see tomorrow. We have now eight games coming up, but there isn’t much to play for so it might be time for experiments. He has worked very hard in the international break.”

“I have tried to make fair judgement and give others knocking on the door – like (Bertrand) Traore – fair opportunity as well. I don’t give any player guarantees, but there is room to experiment,” he added.
