AngloGold Block Sale Of AshGold Duo

Anglo Gold Ashanti, financiers of Ashanti Gold Sporting Club, has blocked the sale of Emmanuel Osei Baffour and Kadri Mohammed.

CAF Champions league defending champions, TP Mazembe approached Ashanti Gold for the services of their most creative player, with a mouthwatering offer and the management of the club, spearheaded by Kudjoe Fianoo were ready to sell the player to raise funds for the club, but the deal was blocked.

An unknown club also approached the Miners for instrumental defender, Kadri Mohammed, but the deal was also scuppered by AngloGold.

The reason given by the financiers of the club, according to sportscrusader.com sources, is that the club has benefited nothing from the sale of certain key players.

AshGold, is yet to receive the entire money from the sale of Bernard Morrison, who left in August last year to AS Vista of DR Congo.

AngloGold says the sale of players has not reflected on the financial muscles of the club,  and they will not lose their key players for nothing in return.
