Arsenal have opened talks with German club Borussia Monchengladbach over a £35m swoop for Granit Xhaka, according to reports.
The north London club are expected to be one of the busiest clubs in the summer transfer window as Arsene Wenger looks to assemble a team capable of winning the Premier League title next season.
Xhaka has been heavily linked with a potential summer move to the Emirates Stadium, although manager Wenger refused to confirm or deny whether the Gunners are looking to sign the player this summer when quizzed about the speculation last week.
Now, however, the Daily Mail is reporting that Arsenal have opened talks with the Germany club over a potential summer swoop for Xhaka, with the Gunners out to try and reduce the Bundesliga outfit’s £35m asking price.
