Wales based Ghanaian attacker Andre Ayew is set for a new manager with Swansea City after Francesco Guidolin confirmed his candidature for the soon to be vaccated Azzuri hot seat.
Guidolin joined the Welsh outfit as a replacement to the departed Garry Monk but has been vocal on taking over as the new manager of the Italian national side.
Head coach of the Italian national team, Antonio Conte was confirmed as the new manager of Premiership side Chelsea and will arrive at the bridge right after the Euro 2016 championship in France.
The Italian trainer for Swansea City look desperate to land the italian job after openly confirming his readiness to trade the Premier league for a seat at the technical bench of the 2006 FIFA world champions.
From a personal standpoint, “I would be happy to take over the Italian national team,” the 60-year-old told Radio Uno.
Despite the potential opening, Guidolin wouldn’t turn down a chance to remain in Wales as it would mean he has done well since joining the Swans in January.
“My future has yet to be decided,” he stated.
“I have a four month contract here in Wales and I would like to stay and the results suggest that could happen.
“I’ve heard some rumours here in Wales but my future has not been decided.
“We’ll see how we end the season and what happens in the future.”
The move if possible will see Swansea returning to the transfer market in search of their third manager in a space of seven months.
Andre joined Swansea from French side Olympique Marseiles and has since blossomed into one of the hottest commodity in world football with flurry of individual checked awards to his name since joining on a Bossman rule in the summer transfer window.
