Adebayor Picks Real Madrid Over Manchester City

Crystal Palace striker Emmanuel Adebayor has meted out how he enjoyed during his playing days at Real Madrid under the managerial reign of Jose Mourinho and further expressed his excitement as the duo clash in the semi’s of the UEFA champions league.

The striker who was clubless some few month backs was acquired by Crystal Palace in the Premier League and has enjoyed some playing time since his arrival.


He was asked by AS to pick between two of his former clubs Real Madrid and Manchester City who are set to meet in the UEFA Champions League semifinals.


“The semifinal of Champions League between my former clubs Real Madrid and Manchester City will be exciting,” he told AS.


“It will not be easy to go through for the Blancos, especially playing at the Etihad Stadium. The Citizens have players like Aguero, Toure, Silva and De Bruyne.


“On a personal level, the experience at Real was a highlight of my career. With (Jose) Mourinho I grew up a lot.”


City and Real will clash at the Etihad Stadium in the first leg of their semifinal on Tuesday night.


Adebayor has also played for Metz, Monaco, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in his European club career.
