Man United Show Star The Exit

Manchester United want to ditch £25million Dutch flop Memphis Depay just a year after signing him.

The Red Devils ‘ manager Louis van Gaal has sanctioned the summer departure of his 22-year-old countryman, having run out of patience with the winger bought from PSV Eindhoven last July.

It was reported this week that the Holland international was heading for showdown talks with Van Gaal.

But media reports this Sunday understands that clubs in both England and on the continent have been sounded out to see if they fancy taking Depay at a knock-down price at the end of the season.

Depay, who was given the famous No 7 shirt once worn by George Best, Bryan Robson, David Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo, has scored just two Premier League goals.

He was the top scorer in the Eredivisie last season, hitting 22 goals as PSV won the title.
