Chelsea goalkeeper Asmir Begovic is set to be handed an audition to become Antonio Conte’s new No 1 as doubts over Thibaut Courtois future linger.
Media reports in the UK suggest the Bosnian keeper is likely to feature in a chunk of Chelsea’s remaining seven fixtures this season.
Begovic’s first opportunity could come in Saturday’s clash against Swansea, with Courtois fearing the axe.
The former Stoke goalkeeper’s opportunity sheds further uncertainty over the future of Chelsea’s current No 1.
Begovic arrived at Stamford Bridge last summer, playing regularly at the start of the season owing to a knee injury suffered by Courtois.

Conte held talks with Hiddink during a whirlwind visit of Chelsea’s training ground earlier this week.
And the incoming Chelsea manager will be interested to see how Begovic performs as he mulls over his goalkeeping options next season.
