Action in the Ghana Premier League (GPL) continues this weekend with games at seven of the eight league centers as the competition becomes keener game-by-game.
All the matches this weekend will be played on Sunday with none scheduled to be televised by broadcast partners of the competition, Super Sport.
Techiman: Techiman City v Hearts of Oak
The biggest match in the Brong Ahafo region will be at Techiman where homesters Techiman City will lock horns with Premier Club, Accra Hearts of Oak at the Nana Ameyaw Park.
City will be looking to keep their unbeaten home record going in this, their debut season in the Ghanaian top-flight league. They have won all their home games and will seek to make life difficult for the Phobians.
Hearts of Oak who are second on the GPL table, lost their unbeaten record to Wa All Stars last Sunday in Accra, and will not like to concede a second defeat on the trot.
Wa: All Stars v Ebusua Dwarfs
League leaders Wa All Stars will be out to keep their position on the log going when they welcome Ebusua Dwarfs to the Wa Stadium in northern Ghana.
They are the only unbeaten side in the competition after six games, and will feel confident of keeping that going when the host a Dwarfs side that has lost two of the three away games they have played.
Berekum: Berekum Chelsea v Aduana Stars
Berekum Chelsea and Aduana Stars will contest a Brong Ahafo regional derby at the Golden City Park, Berekum in what promises to be a hotly contested affair.
Chelsea are one of the strongest sides at home and indeed, are unbeaten there this season, they will therefore seek to end the three game unbeaten run of Aduana Stars who have not lost since losing their opening three games.
Kumasi: Asante Kotoko v Liberty Professionals
Troubled Kumasi Asante Kotoko will seek to put the confusion in their camp behind them when they welcome an in-form Liberty Professionals side to the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
The Porcupines are rooted to the bottom of the table, and, need points badly to climb up in position. They face a liberty Professionals side that has showed some promise this season, and, will make life difficult for them in front of their home fans.
Obuasi: AshantiGold SC v Dreams FC
Defending champions, AshantiGold SC will look to return to winning ways when they welcome newcomers Dreams FC to the Len Clay Stadium at Obuasi.
The Miners were humbled 5-1 by Liberty Professionals in their game, and have not won since the opening day of the season. Dreams FC will look to exploit that as they go in search of their second away win of the campaign.
Tema: Inter Allies v Bechem United
Inter Allies have also not won since the opening day, and, will look to end that poor run when they host Bechem United at the Tema Park, They were humbled 3-1 by Dwarfs last Saturday and need to start picking up wins to get out of the relegation zone.
Bechem United have lost all their away games and could be found wanting, playing against one of the strongest clubs at home in the Ghanaian game.
Sogakope: WAFA v New Edubiase United
WAFA hold a hundred per cent record at the Red Bull Arena and will be confident of making it four wins out of four when they play New Edubiase United.
United are one of the poor travelers in the Ghanaian game and will need to defend very well if they hope to take anything out of this game.
Sekondi: Sekondi Hasaacas v Medeama SC (Postponed)
The game between Sekondi Hasaacas and Medeama Sporting Club has been postponed as a result of the latter’s involvement in the CAF Confederation Cup competition. The two-times MAT FA Cup champions are away in Sudan to play local side Al Shendi on Sunday in a first leg encounter.
