The Goal Keeper of West African Football Academy (WAFA), Abalora Razak has indicated the pain he felt during their 1-1 drawn game against Accra Hearts of Oak, which made him occasionally halt play.
The Goalkeeper came under intense critique when fans chanted negative words towards him as they felt he was deliberately wasting after Hearts has equalized through Cosmos Dauda who sumptuously finished after a wonderful pass from Mustapha Essuman.
In a post match interview the Goalkeeper said “i had a little groin injury ,which made it fall occasionally,it wasn’t deliberately as you might think, am a professional and wouldn’t do anytime to hamper the beauty of the game”.
The time wasting antics of Abalora saw him booked as well as Samuel Tetteh who was sent off for a second bookable offense as he fought the medical team that had been called to carry off Kennedy Boateng who was down injured.
Reports indicated that the match will be critically reviewed by the match review committee with further sanctions being given to guilty parties
