Dreams FC striker Lawson Berkui has rued his team’s missed chances in their home defeat to Kumasi Asante Kotoko in their Ghana Premier League (GPL) Match-Day Eight game played at the Dawu Park.
The league debutants lost 0-1 to the Porcupines who have seen a resurgence in form after their poor start to the season.
“Actually, we missed chances we could have scored, but in the game of football, these things happen,” Berkui told Sportscrusader.com.
“We did very well, we wanted to score, but Kotoko also played well. They are one of the biggest clubs in the country but we came into the game to win, but luck was not on our side,” he added.
“We were hoping for a win but it did not come as we conceded an early goal and lost.”
Fans were unhappy with the performance of Lawson Berkui and he apologized afterwards.
“I thought I was playing well, but if it is not up to the standard the fans expect of me, I apologize and I promise to give my all in subsequent games,” he said.
