Ghana’s Black Queens have gained a place at the 2016 African Women’s Championships in Cameroon, after defeating Tunisia 4-0, in the second leg qualifier at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday.
The Queens in the first 25 minutes, struggled with possession with Portia Boakye and Samira Sulemani shooting off target.
Suleman, opened the scoring for the Queens on the 27th minute after heading home a cross from Portia Boakye to beat the Tunisian goalkeeper Ella Kaabachi at her near post.
An ill timed pass from the Tunisian defender provided Boakye an opportunity, to struck a ferocious shot past Ella Kaabachi to give the Queens are two goal lead.
The Carthage falcons of Tunisia came back strongly into the game, with a much more better focus on goal, but it couldn’t yield any results as Ghanaian Youngster Priscilla Adobea added her name on the score when she made her way through the Tunisian defense to slot the ball behind the net.
A cross from Adobea was misjudged by Racha Riabi, which gifted Suleman who struck a shot on a half volley.
The Black Queens accumulated an aggregate of 6-1 aggregate score line after defeating their counterparts 2-1 in the first leg match which sees them qualifying for the 10th edition of the Women’s Champions.
