Division One League Clubs representative at the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), Kofi Poku claims the Association they inherited was a strong one.
Kofi Poku, who is also the MTN FA Cup Committee vice chairman has been with the Association for four years and believes their predecessors made the body a strong one.
As an aspiring candidate for the top-most position in the Association, Kofi Poku believes he is the best candidate to return GHALCA to it’s glory years.
“The GHALCA we inherited made the Association a strong body. When they were playing LG Top-4 or Coca-Cola Top-4 e.t.c, we saw the kind of sponsorship they brought,” Mr Poku, told sportscrusader.com.
“They were able to secure such sponsorship from corporate bodies because of they were credible,” he added.
“And we will re-position GHALCA because if you don’t that, it will be like the old system and the people will not have trust in you,” he noted.
Kofi Poku is battling with Nana Oduro Sarfo, Cudjoe Fianoo and Isaac Wilberforce Koomson for the chairmanship position.
