Ghana defender Harrison Afful has reached an agreement to join Turkish club Mersin Idmanyurdu, sources have disclosed to Sportscrusader.com.
The 29-year-old is on a hunt for a move following the expiration of his short-term contract at Columbus Crew at the end of the MLS season.
Mersin Idmanyurdu have been holding behind-the-scenes talks with Harison Afful for the past days.
An agreement, according to reliable sources have been reached with the Ghana defender set to travel to Turkey to sign onto a contract.
The former Esperance player is currently in Ghana on holidays but is expected to travel to Turkey sometime this week once all documentation for his trip is completed.
Details of the offer to Afful however concealed but sources say it will be another short-term contract.
Afful’s pedigree on the international stage is said to have played a major role in securing the deal with the Turkish club.
