Saka Acqyuaye, Deputy Director General of the National Sports Authority (NSA) has said his outfit will from next year commence the ranking of the various sports federations and associations under it.
Mr Acquaye, said he the ranking will be based on the activities of the Federations and Associations, their ability to initiate fundraising strategies to be self sustaining as well as their development plans for the future.
He made these remarks when he opened the fourth Agitos Foundation Capacity building workshop in Accra.
According to Mr. Acquaye, the NSA will at the end of 2016 rank the associations and federations and those which will be on top will be given special recognition and reward.
This he said is to encourage the various General Secretaries and their federations to work harder to improve upon their performance and the discipline as a whole.
He urged the various sporting disciplines to take up the challenge and work harder towards the development of their associations and federations.
Mr. Acquaye also advised them to submit their annual activities and budgets to the NSA for scrutiny before the close of December.
