Premier league newbies Techiman City Football Club have crowned their enterprising attacking midfielder Baba Mahama as the club’s Player Of The Month (POTM) for February.
The attacking sensation has been rewarded for his explosive start to the season with the Brong Ahafo based Premier League debutants that includes two goals to his name in the competition already.
Dubbed the football President on the local scene, Mahama shook off competitions from a number of teammates to lift the inaugural edition of the club’s POTM in the top-flight league.
Headline sponsors of the club, SASSO, awarded the player with some products and an undisclosed cash prize for his efforts.
Identified by their motto as in enemies are not God, Techiman City came back from two goals down to end the FA cup journey for regional rivals Aduana Stars thanks to another wonder strike from Baba ‘John’ Mahama who leveler sent the game to penalties which they won 7-6.
