Herod of Agrippa imprisoned Peter, but prayer was made for him without ceasing by the church. The Angel of the Lord appeared unto Peter and brought him out of the first, second and the iron gates.
Waiting on the Lord in prayer is never a wasted exercise. Eventually God arose and orchestrated the death of Herod. He died a horrible death.
Every great movement of God since the beginning of the world has always been traced to prayer. Prayer releases the energy of God. At the end of the day, no matter what the devil plans, it comes to naught before a prayer warrior.
This is why Christians must wake up and be serious. We need to reduce our entertainment and politics in the church and go back to the altar of prayer. Every power that wants to imprison your destiny shall die after the order of Herod.
