Tom Strand Submits Resignation Letter To Medeama SC

Head coach of Medeama SC, Tom Strand has officially written to management of the club over his resignation, according to reports.

The 33-year-old Swede trainer’s relationship with the Tarkwa based club appears to have reached its elastic limit following his side’s failure to defend their FA Cup crown.

The Mauves and Yellow lost to Liberty Professionals 5-4 on penalties at the Tarkwa and Aboso Park last Sunday to exit the competition..

The young tactician was given free room to operate at the club but has shockingly failed to repay the confidence reposed in him by the club’s top hierarchy.

Strand has been widely criticized for not heeding to several advices, leading to the side’s painful exit from the FA Cup competition.

His contract expires at the end of the current campaign and with this development the management of the club are in search of a replacement ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup round of 16 tie with Al Ahly Shendi on April 10.
