GHALCA Committee To Release Verdict Tomorrow

Sportscrusader.com can confirm that the committee which vetted the GHALCA election candidates will release their verdict tomorrow (Thursday).


The three-member Committee which is led by Major Yaw Larson,  completed the vetting of the candidates for the various positions yesterday (Tuesday) and are set to release their report.


GHALCA, the mother body of all league clubs in Ghana, will go to congress on 21 April to elect next new executives.


Four candidates, Cudjoe Fianoo, Kofi Poku, Isaac Koomson and Nana Oduro Sarfo filed nomination forms to contest for the chairmanship position.


The vice chairmanship role in the association currently being occupied by Isaac Wilberforce Koomson have only one candidate – Alex Akumey, vice president of New Edubiase United Football Club.


Messrs Otuo Acheampong and Samuel Abuabre filed nominations for the Division One and Two representative on the association respectively, while George Offosuhene of WAFA and George Ansah of Ebusua Dwarfs filed for the position of Premier League representative.


George Amoako, vice chairman of the Premier League Board, is the only candidate for the position of treasurer.


The committee began its work last week after the close of the filing of nomination, and, will meet the Association tomorrow to come out with their verdict.
