Clubs Have Lost Confidence In GHALCA - Kofi Poku

Division One League Clubs representatives at the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), Kofi  Poku, has said members of the Association have lost confidence in the welfare body.

According to Poku, the Association has done nothing to show to clubs that, they are registered members of the body and have their interest at heart.

He added that, if he was given the mandate to chair the affairs of the Association, the league clubs will feel the presence of GHALCA, not just as a welfare body but beyond issues of welfare.

“Clubs have lost confidence in GHALCA because we have not done anything. If you look at it critically, just about a few clubs gain from GHALCA. Only clubs that participate in the Top-4 competition, Presidents’ Cup or G-6 tournament, earn something from GHALCA, but we have many clubs in this country who are left out,” the MTN FA Cup Committee vice chairman told sportscrusader.com.

“The lower division clubs have not benefited anything from GHALCA and what I intend to do if elected as chairman, is that if not all clubs, majority of the teams must have the feel that this is an Association they belong to,” he said.

“I want clubs in this country  to be a part of GHALCA, not just one or two clubs,” he added.
