The MTN FA Cup Committee, has confirmed the Tumu park as the venue for Kotoko’s round of 32 tie against Real 24 Hours.
The venue for the fixture was tentatively scheduled for Wa Sports Stadium, but the heads of Real 24 Hours moved the game to Tumu much to the displeasure of Kotoko.
The Porcupine Warriors wrote to the MTN FA Cup Committee, rejecting the venue, but the head of telecommunication company football competition insist the match will be played at the Tumu park.
“Th match will be played at the Tumu park, ” MTN FA Cup vice committee chairman, Kofi Poku told Adom FM.
“We forwarded the complaint from Kotoko to the Clubs Licencing Board and the report we got is that the park is good enough to host matches.
“We were told the venue has already hosted some cup matches and we are certain the venue can host the match.
“We have written to Kotoko and we expect a response from them soon.” He added.
