Former Ghana Under 20 defender defender, Bright Addae has expressed optimism, that his former club Wa All Stars will clinch the Ghana Premier League (GPL) title for the first time.
According to the 23-year old who currently plays for Italian Serie B side Ascoli, he has been monitoring Wa All Stars’ performance since the start of the league at his base in Italy.
The Wa based club, which is owned by Ghana FA President, Mr. Kwesi Nyantekyi has gone six games without a defeat and are currently top of the table following their surprising 3-1 win against Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium last Sunday.
Speaking in an interview from his base in Italy, Bright Addae, a former player of Wa All Stars said, “I feel good Wa All Stars is performing this way, after playing this team some years back and this is the first time everybody is talking about them after leading the pack. For this I am very happy for them and wish them well”.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Under 20 World Cup winning defender scored a 53rd minute goal over the weekend to seal victory Ascoli at the Stadio Renato Curi.
Addae’s goal was his second of the season for his side who have now moved two points above the relegation zone.
