The GN Bank National Division One League Match Week Five fixtures were honoured over the weekend across all three zones with some interesting results.
Top among the bill was the game between Okwawu United and Great Olympics at the Nkawkaw Park, where the home side grabbed all three points after beating the Wonder club 2-1 in a fairly entertaining encounter in Zone Three.
Amidaus Professionals shared the spoils with Kpando Heart of Lions in Tema with Sporting Mirren thrashing newly promoted Vision FC 4-0 at the St Thomas Aquinas Park in Accra.
Elsewhere in Zone Two, Eleven wise succumb to a 1-0 away defeat at Dukwa United with Gold Stars drawing with Wassaman in Dompim.
Elmina Sharks moved two points clear at the top of the zone after recording a 1-0 win away at Starke FC to continue their unbeaten start to the season.
In Zone One, Berlin FC recorded an impressive 2-1 away win over highly Guan United in Tamale. Bolga All Stars shared the spoils with Tanga FC in the Bolga-Tanga derby while B A United’s struggles continued with a goal-less draw away at Tamale Utrecht.
