Three Ghanaian boxers are showing why they are the future of this country as they keep rising on the rankings in their various categories.
The boxers, Isaac ‘Royal Storm’ Dogboe’, Duke Micah and Richard Commey are now rated very high in the boxing fraternity.
Dogboe who is the WBO Africa and Interim WBA Pan Africa featherweight champion, has now risen to 12th, rising three places from 15 when he first broke into the ranking system two months ago.
The 21-year-old successfully defended of his titles via a unanimous points decision over compatriot Michael Pappoe in February.
Also making a breakthrough is WBO Africa Bantamweight champion, Duke Micah. Micah is now the WBO’s 15th ranked bantamweight.
The undefeated Commey is the IBF’s third rated lightweight with no number one or two to the title held by Rances Barthelemy. He’s also ranked seventh by the WBC.
Another Ghanaian, Lawson, maintains a place in the ratings despite falling the 13th spot in the IBF welterweight ratings.
