Liverpool Striker To Return From Unsuccessful Loan Spell

Mario Balotelli is set to return to Liverpool from his Serie A loan spell after AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani admitted that the striker is currently falling short of expectations.

The Italy international is on a season-long loan at the San Siro, but has scored just three times in 17 appearances so far.

Galliani said: ‘We really like Mario, but he has to convince us to earn a permanent deal.’

Galliani added: ‘Mario is feeling well. He is desperate to stay here at Milan. But like I have said before, he does not merit a permanent deal at the moment.’
