Hearts Ready For Techiman City - Mustapha Essuman

Experienced Accra Hearts of Oak midfielder, Mustapha Essuman has said his side is ready for the task of ending the unbeaten home run of Techiman City as they contest the Ghana Premier League (GPL) debutants on Sunday in a Match-Day Seven encounter.

He has therefore called for a quick response from his teammates following the side’s first loss of the GPL season last Sunday.

The Phobians lost their unbeaten start to the season at the Accra Sports Stadium when they were beaten 3-1 by Wa All Stars in a game marred by some questionable referee decisions.

But Essuman has urged his colleagues to put that defeat behind them and focus on the upcoming game with City which to him, is crucial.

Hearts will travel to the Brong Ahafo region on Sunday to play Techiman City away, and, Essuman insists they should go all out for the three points insisting that they are ready for the battle.

“We need a quick response to last Sunday’s defeat, and, I urge my colleagues to be up to the task on Sunday,” he said, adding that this is the only way “we can get the campaign back on track”.

“Victory in Techiman is possible, and, we should go for it and prove to all that indeed we are Accra Hearts of Oak,” the experienced enforcer said.

He will be hoping to play a part in Sunday’s game as the Phobians go in search of their third away win of the season and put pressure on the league leaders.

The game with Techiman City will be Hearts’ fourth away game of the season with the Phobians having beaten Medeama SC and Inter Allies and drawing with Ebusua Dwarfs in previous encounters.

Hearts are second on the Ghana Premier League table with 13 points from six games and will be looking for their fifth win of the season on Sunday.
