Ivory Coast midfielder Yaya Toure will miss Manchester City’s UEFA Champions League quarterfinal first leg match at Paris Saint-Germain tonight.
The English side will tackle the French Ligue 1 champions at Parc des Princes, with kick-off set for 18:45 GMT.
The Elephants captain has failed to recover from the knee injury which saw him miss the 4-0 win over Bournemouth in the Premier League at the weekend.
Toure made headlines earlier this week after his agent declared that the player will be leaving the Citizens at the end of the current season.
City coach Manuel Pellegrini is also missing captain Vincent Kompany, but goalkeeper Joe Hart is available after recovering from a calf problem.
Hart sustained the knock in a league defeat to Manchester United before the international break, and subsequently sat out England’s two games and the clash with the Cherries.
Midfielder Fabian Delph has also shaken off an Achilles complaint, having last played in a loss to Leicester City in February.
Nigerian Kelechi Iheanacho has been included as part of the squad for the visitors.
