The Ghana Football Association (GFA) will officially launch the 2016 National women’s league on Wednesday April 13 at their secretariat in Accra.
The event which will start at 10:00 AM will bring together all stake-holders of the women’s game as the new season approaches.
The 2016 National Women’s League was originally slated for April 1, 2016 but was postponed due to international engagements by the various women national teams.
Subsequently, fixtures for the first round of the league were released last week and the season will kick start this weekend across the country.
The Ghana National Women’s league is divided in Two Zones, Northern and Southern with the respective winners facing each other in a play-off game to determine the champion.
Hasaacas Ladies have won the previous two editions and will start the defense of their title with a home fixture against Halifax ladies on Saturday.
