Medeama SC attacking midfielder Enoch Atta Agyei has fired a title warning to rivals on the local scene despite their poor start to the season.
The former Windy Professionals wing wizard revealed the readiness of his team mates to build on their CAF confederation progress to make a real assault on the title charge.
The 2015 FA cup holders have since registered one win in the opening five league fixtures after a promising preseason and sits precariously outside the relegation zone by goal difference only.
The Tarkwa based however accounted for their indifferent domestic with a strong continental performances that extended their continental campaign into the latter stages.
Atta Agyei, one of the new arrivals in the camp of the Yellows and Mauves, however toned down the gravity of their slow start to the domestic league, warning rivals to be wary of fearsome resurgences from the FA cup holders.
The former Windy Professionals wide man rallied his colleagues to capitalize on their continental heroics to confirm their fading title ambitions.
“The experience from the CAF confederation has motivated us on the local scene and we are confident of returning to winning ways soon.
“The CAF confederation cup is a very big competition and we believe it has enough motivation itself to power us on the domestic league.
Losing is part of football but the difference is how you respond to the defeat after losing and we are going to respond in grand style.
“Those at the top should be ready for us, because we will soon be coming for our right place”, Atta Agyei told sports crusader.
Dubbed as ‘La Pulga’ for his wizardy dribbling skills reminiscent to Argentina’s Lionel Messi, Atta graced the second tier league with 17 odd strikes for Windy Professionals to earn a dream deal with Medeama SC at the start of the season.
