CK Akunnor Calls For Home Support

Head coach of Dreams Football Club, Charles K. Akunnor has called on the people of Dawu to fill the stands of the Dawu sports stadium and throw their weight behind the team to beat Bechem United on Sunday.

The Ghana Premier League debutants shocked Ebusua Dwarfs at the Robert Mensah stadium last weekend in their debut premier league match, winning 1-0 courtesy of Johnson Owusu Oppong’s strike, and CK Akunnor believes the support of the people of Dawu will be vital if their first day success will continue.

“Every coach wants to win his match and it’s not different from what I think, but we have to wait and see how it goes,” the former Sekondi Eleven Wise boss told Asempa FM.

“We are pleading for our home support to come and support us. When you are able to gain the home support it helps and when it is 11 against 11 it sometimes becomes 12 because of the home supporters.” he noted.

The match between Dreams FC and Bechem United will be the first premier league match between the two sides, and the venue will be hosting its first league match in almost a decade.
