Liberty"s Gerald Arkson Delighted with Man-of-the-match Award

Liberty Professionals midfielder Gerald Arkson, who was adjudged man of the match in the Scientific Soccer lads’ 2-1 victory against Inter Allies on Sunday has stated that it is a great feeling to get the recognition for hard work.


The 18-year old put up a sterling performance to help the Dansoman based club record their first victory of the 2015/2016 Ghana Premier League.


The midfielder, who played all but three games last season was not handed a starting berth in Liberty’s Match day one defeat away at Bechem United.


However, he was named in the line-up against Regional rivals Inter Allies in their first home game of the season after which he was named the man of the match.


Speaking exclusively to SportsCrusader.com after the game, Gerald Arkson said, “It’s all about determination and hard work coupled with the support from my team mates. I didn’t do it all by myself and it is a great feeling”


The highly rated youngster also added that people should expect more from him.


“people should expect more and better  things from me” Arkson said, adding that, ” Sure, I want to be known all over the globe and I am working hard to at least score 10 goals this season”.
