Kwesi Appiah In Trouble After Confederation Cup Elimination

Former Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah was knocked out of  CAF Confederations Cup after his team Al Khartoum  suffered a 0-1 to Ugandan side Sports Club Villa.


The former Black Stars defender was hoping to help his side overcome a 1-0 setback at the hands of their counterparts in the first leg in at the Khartoum stadium in Sudan.This was the second time in two successive years that the Kwesi Appiah has failed to leave up to expectation in Africa’s Club Competition.


Godfrey Lwesibawa opened the scoring for Sports Club Villa in the 15th minute of the tie which saw the eventually  saw them  progress to the next round of the competition on a 2-0 aggregate score.


 


Al Khartoum waatani will now have to turn their attention the Sudanese top-flight which  they are placed third on the league table and will face of against Al -Merreikh in a titanic encounter next week at home.
