To set the records straight, as we have always done, players are selected based on the following criteria:
1. The Coefficient of the league they play
2. The competition they are in (If they are not playing league matches)
3. Consistency
4. The competition they face from other players playing for the same position.
5. The positions they play
6. The number of minutes played in the game, and
7. The contribution of the player to the success of the game.
Daniel Amartey returned to the sports crusader team of the week after a lengthy spell out in a grand style. The 21 year old defender kept his composure on his debut Premier league match for Leicester city at home to Norwich City. The former Cobenhaven centre lasted 78 minutes but had done enough to merit a place in the heart of our defence alongside John Boye.
At the centre of the pitch, Godfred Donsah, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu and Alhassan Wakasu teamed up in a very defensively organised midfield good enough to liberate our scary attacking trio.
France based Majeed Waris made it three goals in two games for Lorient and will be assisted by Anddre Ayew, and Frank Acheampong upfront.
Exiled custodian continues to man our goal post as he prepares for the new MLS season later next month.
